5 WordPress Tutorials for Beginnners with No Experience
WordPress is an easy way to create a website that will look great and function well. This tutorial shows you how to set up a new site using WordPress.
Install WordPress
To begin installing WordPress, you need to download the software from its official website. You can do so by clicking here. Once you've downloaded the installer, run it and follow the instructions. It should take less than five minutes to complete.
Create a Blog
If you're looking to build a blog using WordPress, you can use the free version of the platform. This will allow you to publish posts without having to pay anything. However, if you'd rather not use the free version, you can purchase a premium plan.
Add Pages
You can add pages to your website by creating new files in the root directory of your site. These files are called "pages" because they contain HTML code that describes what's inside them. To add a page, simply copy the HTML code into a file named after the page you want to create.
Edit Posts
If you're not familiar with editing posts and pages, here's an overview of the process. First, click on the post or page you'd like to edit. Then, click on the "Edit Post/Page" link at the top of the screen. This will take you to the "Post / Page Editor." Here, you can make changes to the text, images, and other elements of the post or page. Once you've finished making edits, click on the "Preview Changes" button to see how your post or page looks when viewed online. Finally, click on the "Publish" button to save your changes.
Publish Posts
You can also use the "Visual Editor" to make quick edits to your site. To access the Visual Editor, click on the "Screen Options" icon (it looks like three stacked lines) located at the top right corner of the screen. From there, select "Visual Editor." Now, you can add new posts and pages by clicking on the "+ New" button. Click on the "Add Media" button to upload images, videos, and audio files.
